“I wouldn’t,” said Farmer Jack to Farmer Bill, “I wouldn’t go into that field where the bull is. There’s no telling when he might turn on you.”
“It’s all in the attitude,” said Farmer Bill to Farmer Jack. “I have dealt with bulls all my life. None have turned on me because I trust them and they know it.”
“It’s up to you,” said Farmer Jack to Farmer Bill.
Farmer Bill entered the bull’s field. The bull took no notice but kept on eating grass.
I hope there is a sequel…

I try to capture real life in these stories – raised of course to the level of art.

A load of bull is better than a load of codswallop.

Jack and the bull remind me of Hemingway —perhaps that is where Jack is coming from. Farmer Bill doesn’t fit the bill and should be careful of the bull, even if the beast doesn’t take note of his balls.

Well I guess Farmer Bill was bragging for a reason, unless the bull is lulling him into a false sense of security…

I have 10 bulls in a paddock out my window and wouldn’t trust any even though they spend most of the day sitting placidly.
