Thanks. Yes, it was a big task, but I’m a compulsive-neurotic (or whatever they call it). However, I quite enjoyed doing it. There are two things to watch. One is I should have the dates of each month around the other way with the first of the month at the bottom (I just might change to that.) The other thing was I changed the dates of each story from where they were in the original blog, and it became a mess that took ages to fix, e.g. Christmas fell in April and Mother’s Day clashed with Thanksgiving etc etc…

Simon – you’ve only got to sneeze and I come running. You should know that! I’m not a follower. I’m not a groupie. I’m a fawning idiot. Why else would I get excited when your email said “in case you’re interested”.

Thanks, O Wondrous One. I have thrown off my clothes and am doing a tango cum samba of delight. (I’m not being cynical – I’m actually going yah! yah! yah! Hurrah!) Come to think of it – no one says Hurrah! these days…

I have used Hurrah a few times and Hooray frequently but have never heard of Huzzah until today! In my first play – I was 9 – I misspelt Hurrah and wrote Hurry! Decima Alder insisted in the performance on saying Hurry instead of Hurrah. It was the beginning of my descent into obscurity.

Good idea on this Index! Thanks for the link for the wildflower seeds. I’ve been trying to grow poppies and other flowers and had bought seeds like 3 times for each. None of them grew, so I was so irked! As a newbie gardener, I will follow and gain some tips from ya.

I have so much to say, I scarcely know where to start, but start I shall.
    1. Love the snowflake background and the candle banner.
    2. Boggled by your ambition to challenge all those poetic forms. I just may copy you on it but not in nearly so organized (dare I say obsessive?) a manner.
    3. Thank you kindly for your comment on the new Gravatar. I’d blush if I remembered how. I wholeheartedly approve and had a good guffaw at the crack of dawn when I read it. At 58 such compliments (I think it was a compliment) are as rare as uncoloured hair.
    4. Have I ever mentioned how I enjoy the images you use with your posts? How are they done? An on-line editing tool?
    5. Happy Monday. Or is it Tuesday there?

      5. It’s Tuesday.
      4. I “doctor” images using an obsolete program called Ulead Photoimpact – since bought out and ruined by Corel by making it too complicated.
      3. No worries – as we say over here, instead of your North American “You’re welcome”!
      2. I’m a compulsive obsessive – or is that obsessive compulsive? It was meant to be a challenge for 2016 but I’ve already finished writing them. 😦 😦 😦
      1. The changing of the banner and background usually indicates a degree of boredom at my desk! Thanks for the lengthy comment!

Hello – O ever-competent personage. I switched the comments off because the comments frequently had little to do with my postings and were becoming an alternative to Facebook for those who purported to dislike Facebook and everything it stood for. I’m finishing blogging on the 7 July 2016 – and this time it’s for real, at least in this mode. I’m feeling old, tired and grumpy, and want to “rediscover” the wonder of being alive in the manner that I think my friend Simon has shown!

I would very much like to remain an occasional correspondent and receiver of fine recipes for preserves. My email is johnsonofclowne@yahoo.co.uk (I’ve enjoyed travelling along side of you for some time and have got nicely accustomed to your company0 Very best wishes. Glad I came back in time.
