Another invitation

A big THANK YOU to all who were able to contribute over the last two weeks or so an opening sentence for a story.

Yvonne of Hello World suggested it could be challenging to ask for suggestions for a story’s final sentence.

THANKS TO ALL WHO LEFT A CLOSING SENTENCE. THE SUGGESTION BOX IS CURRENTLY CLOSED! BUT I SHALL BE CALLING FOR FURTHER SUGGESTIONS IN MAYBE A COUPLE OF WEEKS ONCE THE BACKLOG IS CLEARED!

Feel free to make suggestions for a final sentence. Then I would put a link back to your blog (if you have one) when the story is posted. So please, if you wish, leave a final sentence in the comments below and I’ll try to write the story leading up to your final sentence. Don’t suggest a plot; just a final sentence.

Examples might be: As far as Miriam was concerned Anselm could suck eggs.
The fall of night meant nothing to Anita.
There was no way that Bertie could hide the hole in his trousers.

These stories, as you know, are short – so nothing will be saga-length. For starters, please make only one suggestion each!

Thanks
Bruce

He walked out of the house, listening to the crickets and watching the moon weave her little web of light, and bathed in both beauty and regret, said, “Qui court deux lievres a la fois, n’en prend aucun.”

I had noticed it early in the morning but due to being out of Internet coverage throughout out the day I could offer my bit only before I reached home by bedtime.

It could certainly appear exciting to the spectators. I was off to seize the property of a defaulting steel strips factory. (All I did was paste notices of possession all around the mill as the photographer clicked away for evidence).

Thanks, Noelle. The story is created and ready to be released on Tuesday 4th July. Sorry about the wait. The date, incidentally, is coincidental to the story!!

The story is written and scheduled to appear! Unfortunately Alex, given the popularity of people suggesting final sentences, this story is not destined to appear until Sunday 21 July. Sorry about it being so far down the track.

Thanks for the suggestion. The story is scheduled for Monday 22 July. Sorry it’s so far away but with only one story a day I couldn’t slot it in earlier!

So – is the holiday to celebrate the posting of your son’s-inspired story (named “Zach and Mean Stork”) or to commemorate New Zealand getting decimal currency on that date in 1967?
