Chloe was resting in the sun, beside my chair, when I played this music. She perked up and listened. As the piece progressed, she stood up, came to the upholstered arm of my chair and nested her snout there, staring at the screen of my laptop. I think the story this music tells must be universal.

Neither of my boys paid it the slightest attention………. until the statelier, slower bit in the middle when teddy might perhaps be a bit tattered and worn – then Orlando [who is showing signs of wear and tear himself] came and sat beside the computer and had a wash of his nether regions……… We obviously don’t have the musical appreciation of a Chloe!

I like the rain on a tin roof. Janet Frame – a New Zealand novelist – used to have a sheet of roofing iron between two drums sitting outside her bedroom window so she could hear the rain!

The life of a teddy bear isn’t as easy as we thought, huh. That slower segment – did he realise that nobody saw him like his Grizzly brothers, and had his owners finally thrown him into the bin?
Just when I thought this blog couldn’t get any better, I found your music pieces. What an amazing day.
