234. Unicellular eukaryotes

Ms Trudy was a teacher of students in the 8th Grade. She was forever gabbling on to other teachers how great a teacher she was. Did she not teach Dallas, who was considered a genius? Did she not extend him? Challenge him?

When the class went on a Science field trip, they had to write about what they had “discovered”. Dallas handed up his assignment on Photosensory transduction in unicellular eukaryotes. In it, he made a comparison between related ciliates Blepharisma japonicum and Stentor coeruleus and photoreceptor cells of higher organisms.

At the bottom of his assignment he wrote: I’m sorry I had to rush this, but last night I had cricket practice.
