Nancy had always wanted to visit the lost city of Angkor Wat in the Cambodian jungle. She saved her pennies, and off she flew. What a wonderful experience!
As she left Cambodia to return home, a Customs official said, “I’m sorry, Ma’am, but I have to inspect your luggage.” He inspected her carry-on hand luggage. That was all the luggage she had. He found nothing.
On the plane, Nancy opened her bag to get some tissues. There was a packet of white powder at the bottom. It wasn’t hers. She didn’t know what to do. She was worried silly for the eleven hour flight.
When the plane landed, she had to go through Customs in her own country. She thought if she told them about the white powder, they would arrest her. It was better to leave it, and hopefully, they wouldn’t search. If they found it, she could deny any knowledge.
The Customs official said, “Step over this way, Ma’am.” Nancy thought, “This is it.” He opened her bag. He hardly looked. “Have a nice day,” he said. Oh the relief!
When Nancy got home, the packet of white powder at the bottom of her bag wasn’t there.
