11. The Wedding Ring

Angela and Jason were married and she couldn’t stop looking at the wedding ring. Then a week later she lost it. She didn’t know where or how or when.

So she bought another one that looked much the same. And you know, for fifty-two years she never told him. It was never the same.

It was two in the morning. He realized the ring was lost. He pounded on the glass doors and demanded to be let in, if only for a second back into the nightclub. Perchance it was still on the bathroom sink. Management was obstinate and threated to call the police. He cried. I laughed. The ring was in fact still resting on the bathroom sink…at home!
